Welcome Altair International Women's Day 2017 Altair Arrives

Welcome Altair! International Women’s Day 2017 #BeBoldForChange

Altair Comes from a Planet of Gender Equality

Altair’s planet is the only one orbiting the star Altair. Their star was unpredictable and often changed shape. As a consequence, the sea levels and temperature rose and much of the land became flooded or uninhabitable. The people needed the power of all minds on their planet to solve their planet’s crises. Women and men joined forces and problem solved the world over.

From this disaster, a truly equal society was established worldwide. Since then, emissaries from Altair are sent out to help planets with similar problems.

On International Women’s Day 2017, we welcome Altair to Earth

Altair was on her home planet, watching males and females work together in harmony, building stunning technological wonders.

She received a message on her high tech watch. It was a video of Jewella, the leader of Tech Girls are Superheroes (TGAS), doing amazing work on Earth. Altair called Jewella and said “Altair to Jewella. It’s time. Gather your Tech Girl Superheroes. I will seek new recruits”. Jewella agreed and launched off to gather the TGAS team.

On the morning of 8th March 2017, Altair flew to Earth. She saw on her watch three girls working away on their projects. One creating solar lights for her town, another building a robot that rescues people from fires and a third girl testing her virtual reality creation. Altair appeared to all the girls on their devices and says “Welcome to Tech Girls are Superheroes”. The three girls transformed and suddenly found themselves wearing superhero costumes.

Tech Girls are Superheroes recruits change the world

With Altair’s help, the three new TGAS recruits completed incredible feats. One girl positioned solar powered lights along the length of her town, lighting up the whole village. Another built a robot to rescue a woman from a burning building. The third girl created a virtual reality environment so people can experience what other planets look like.

Your daughter is the next Tech Girl Superhero

Altair’s story isn’t over. Jewella and Altair continue the search for new recruits to the TGAS alumni. Your daughter can join the Search for the Next Tech Girl Superhero by registering with Tech Girls Movement Foundation. #BeBoldForChange
