Renata Sguario, CEO, Maxme: Female Leader Conversations

Renata Sguario created Maxme, where success isn’t just about IQ, it’s about unlocking human power. Through exceptional learning experiences, Maxme equips people with the critical human skills, insights and support needed to realise their career potential and thrive. Democratised affordable human skills development for anyone, anywhere, at any time they want it.

HUMAN SKILLS

Why did you create Maxme?

Over the last 30 years, I’ve recruited, led, coached and mentored hundreds of people across global organisations and seen first hand that sustained success requires both technical competence and self actualisation. Without this, work life and long-term career success becomes very challenging. Through Maxme products, we have democratised learning and development usually reserved for the “chosen few on talent programs”.

REALISING POTENTIAL

What are the skills young people need for life and career success?

Young people, old people and everyone in between need the same skills to flourish and thrive both at work and in life. Throughout our secondary and tertiary schooling, and across our working lives, we are taught to value and invest in technical skill development, perhaps because it’s easier to teach and assess. Human skills such as communication, collaboration, empathy and creativity are expected but not taught, yet are fundamental to impact, productivity and wellbeing.

LEARNING SOLUTIONS

Who can benefit from Maxme?

The last few years have really broadened the response to this question especially if you rate the insights from think tanks like McKinsey and Co. According to McKinsey, all global citizens will need 56 foundational skills (Deltas) to increase the likelihood of employment, earn higher salaries and increase job satisfaction. 43 of the 56 (77%) are human skills. Maxme exists to fast path the development of these skills and we exist for you all.

HODIE APP

What impact does Hodie have on learning engagement?

We’ve collaborated with industry experts to codify human skill development learning, based on decades of research and practise. Through our gamified and always on app Hodie, and our school program Amica, we bring you bite sized, personalised and multi sensory learning moments that engage and delight the user as they navigate the world of self development. If it’s not engaging it won’t get done and we have gone to great lengths to put this at the centre of our experience.
