FILM INDUSTRY EVOLUTION

How has film production changed during your 17 years?

Film Production has gone through huge changes since I began in the industry. Mainly in its accessibility. It used to take large, technical cameras to capture what we now can on our smartphones every day. Which I think is brilliant! Film has always been about visual storytelling and can make a business so much more visible. Now, small business can join the big companies in using video to tell their story and connect to their target market. What’s been great to watch is the growth in versatility as well. You can use video over so many more networks – social media, TV anywhere and people are consuming so much of it.

WHY VIDEO MARKETING?

Why should businesses invest in this channel?

Investing in video is so important –because of it’s amazing ability to tell a story. It opens your business and breaks down barriers. One video can have so many purposes and be used across all your digital marketing; it’s so much more versatile than you think. So while it can be more expensive than photography or copywriting – it’s uses and timelines really make up for that. You have the option of investment level as well – depending on how you want your business and brand to be seen. You can invest in learning how to create simple videos and do it all yourself. Or have your business be seen at a higher level with a professional video team. Your investment is in the brand awareness and higher reach you can achieve.

BUSINESS GROWTH

How will your new warehouse space change Flipswitch Media’s offering?

I love our new space! Our warehouse is designed for content creation and connections. We have a full cyclorama white wall for simple product shoots and headshots. Plus, we have designed different textured walls throughout, so you can play with backgrounds and find the best style to suit your brand. You can hire us to create video content for you, or hire the space out yourself and really have some fun creating your own content. People with home businesses can add that extra professionalism to Smartphone videos.

Plus, I’m really excited to be running our video marketing workshops within our own space.

BE HUMAN

How do you help companies connect emotionally with their customers?

It’s about making you human, not just a brand. A brand isn’t tangible and you can hide behind it. We help our clients to step out from behind the brand and show the values, morals and humanity of the brand. Which is much easier for people to connect to – especially online.

You built this brand for a reason, and you believe in this brand. Show your audience why you built it and how it’s changed your life and your client’s lives.
