Last week, we updated our approximately 2000 strong brand directory. It’s an informative six-monthly process of reviewing each record against our criteria, re-researching each brand’s leadership composition, and amending our website directory to reflect any changes. Over 800 brands meet our criteria. When we started Femeconomy it was just over 700.
It is important to communicate and celebrate the positive progress that companies are making towards gender equality. There were also a few who unfortunately lost ground and slid backwards. Most changes resulted from Board composition changes and company acquisitions or divestments.
Just in time for festive season purchasing, here is our December 2017 Retail Gender Equality Progress Report to help you decide which brands to shop with. We also have some Femeconomy approved gift guides to help you with your festive ‘to do’ list.
